Quality in nursing facilities means doing the right thing in the right way
at the right time for the right person in order to achieve
the best possible outcome. The Texas Department of Aging and Disability
Services (DADS) Quality Matters Web (QMWeb) is a resource of evidence-based best
practices meant to help nursing facilities achieve just that.
QMWeb is maintained by DADS Quality Assurance & Improvement (QAI) staff. Every effort is made to keep the web site content current. Staff monitor the site and update it as new information becomes available. In addition to selected
presentations from DADS provider trainings and geriatrics symposia, this
site includes a collection of evidence-based practice frameworks compiled
from systematic clinical literature reviews and links to related web resources.
QM Spotlights:
- DADS QAI released a Facility Information, Vacancy and Evacuation Status system (FIVES) for all Nursing, Assisted Living, and ICF/MR facilities to use during the hurricane season. Please visit the FIVES site to become familiar with it..
